Creamy Lala Porridge

Comforting, hearty and full of flavour, this Creamy Lala Porridge brings together fresh clams and a rich, savoury broth. With its smooth texture and satisfying flavour, it’s a nourishing bowl that warms from the inside out.

Ingredients


  • 500g

    Lala, clenaed (soaked in salted water)

  • 60g

    SCS Unsalted Butter

  • 1 cup

    Short grain rice

  • 4-5 slices

    Fresh ginger

  • 2-3 sprigs

    Fresh coriander

  • 1 can

    Evaporated milk

  • 250ml

    Water

  • Light soy sauce, to taste

  • White pepper, to taste

  • Salt, to taste

Directions


  1. Melt SCS Unsalted Butter
  2. Stir fry ginger until fragrant
  3. Add in the lala and chopped coriander stems
  4. Pour in water and evaporated milk
  5. Add in short grain rice and mix well, bringing it to a boil
  6. Simmer for 20 minutes. Do stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  7. Season with light soy sauce, salt and white pepper
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy!
